Reviews

What the press said...

They’re sharp, confident, and are promising great things: Record Mirror 1985

‘Lorelei’ is Thrashing Doves at their most devastating and intimidating, a beautifully barren moment: Sounds 4/89

Fresh, original, quite mind-boggling in its eclecticism but immediately gripping: Time Out 6/86

Thrashing Doves played with the assured youthful cockiness of a band that knows every major in town is sniffing round its Cuban heels: Melody Maker 28/7/85

“I Wouldn’t Know You From The Rest” is fab: Melody Maker 17/8/91

I see no reason why they won’t be selling records by the bucket load by this time next year. Melody Maker 8/3/86
